Tuesday evening at church and nothing is normal.
Why does pastor look so awful? Is it avian flu? Why is everyone speaking in hushed tones like someone died? And where is Pastor's wife?
Marvin hears shocking news at church that knocks the wind out of him.
Soon too experiences a shock.
To console himself and Soon, Marvin turns to his most reliable friend--ice cream.
Will Marvin liberate himself from his oppressive church? Will he and Soon take their relationship to the next level? For a former homosexual why does Marvin experience so much drama? What is going on?
I guess you have to listen.

I remember back in the late 80's, a little church I attended was rocked by the admission of our beloved they he had an affair.
We were reeling for weeks over it. So many similar scandals were in the news then with Jim Baker and Jimmy Swaggert. It seemed impossible to imagine that trusted church leaders could fall for such common temptations.
Some churches are like families with the pastor being the father figure. When the pastor falls, the church can collapse with him.
At the same time, I can't help but feel a little angry with your pastor. Who on earth was he to be telling you - you who is trying his level best to be an honest and upstanding human being - that you had to clean up after Coffee Hour rather than teach children? At the very same time, he was sneaking and lying ... what kind of example is he? I hope that you will take this opportunity to reflect upon some of the things your pastor has said to you, and some of the judgments he's made of you, and see whether you really believe (anymore) that what he said accurately reflects God's will. Clearly, your pastor himself doesn't believe what he's saying - at least in some instances - so, honestly, why should you?

as for your "pastor"...i've always thought there was a little something strange going on with him. this is the same man who doesn't think you should be around kids, teaching them about christ. hmmmm...and yet it's ok for him to diddle his 18 yr old babysitter for 6 months.
i've always found it funny that having SSA is so much worse than say sleeping with your 18 yr old nanny, or, like star jones' pastor, having a child out of wedlock (he considers himself to be formerly gay as well).
have you thought about studying buddism?
