tiny and BIG!

I am on a tiny plane, with a tiny keyboard, typing a tiny blog post.

I am unusually friendly to strangers as I travel today. I am aways the grumpy guy with the ipod sleeping on flights. I do have a headache and gas, but not enough to dampen my spirits.

Sadly I am forbidden to write about my bowel movements or I would have real news to share. Several friends who regularly hear my animated BM reports warned me that I must NEVER write about them on my blog.

Hmmm, maybe I will start a new anonymous blog all about my BMs--with photos!

Okay, taking off to the land of wrinkled men in leather and smoky weather--Palm Springs here I come!

*LoL* I would certainly read your BM-blog. Maybe because my life is all about that part of my body right now. Ooh that one came out wrong for those of you who don´t know me :)

If the keypard is so tiny and the blog post is so tiny and the plane is so tiny how come you got on it considering what a HUGE BIG HEART you have.....?

Hey - keep your BMs to yourself will you please? This is too much information!
Oh stop it Peterson - I have heard more than enough about bowel movements today. My supervisors think I would be a great person to work with children with toiletting problems.

If you want some tips on how to promote regular and consistent bowel movements, which are neither too soft nor too hard, I'm now your woman...oh God help me!

BLEURGH!

Peterson, you need to keep your deviant BM lifestyle to your self -- Don't flaunt it!

Boring, sunny Palm Springs. When will you be traveling to Seattle where we call the sun "Bright Light!"?
kj, well, it is going to happen in January. I have something scheduled in Portland the weekend of January 18 and the idea is that hopefully I will get something booked in Seattle the following weekend.

Want to work some magic and help me get a booking??? That would be a BIG help.
Portland in January!!!
and me will be in Central Africa!
crap!
oh well, if you keep us informed I am sure a lot of Freedom Friends will show up.

Peterson, as a friend of yours who loves you dearly but does not necessarilly yearn to hear about your BMs, I must urge you NOT TO POST ABOUT IT.

However, you may post about anything else that your heart desires. :D Any other topic is quite welcome.

Erm, yes, please, no.

All due respect. I'm sure it's fascinating stuff, but, really.
daniel, I can't believe it! You must e-mail me the number so that I can harass you.

peggy, that is dreadful news. Well, I am glad for you that you will get to Central Africa, but sad that I won't get to see you. Will post details as I know them.

And as for the rest of you lot who have made it clear that I must keep a personal, intimate, special part of my life silent--well, perhaps in time you will learn to love ALL of me. :-)

Lord only knows that from what I've heard from you, it would ruin your fan base to post anything about it...

However...you might find this interesting:

This reminds me, don't forget to get the details from me about when I was so sick last Sunday and actually handed a bag of puke to my (still) friend Jed...I mean, you do love ALL of me, right? Call for details.

(I bet you're glad you missed that drama by one day, aren't you?)

My Gay Husband--A Spouse Speaks Out

The other day I received the following e-mail from Susanne, a woman who found out her some years ago that her husband has same-sex attractions. I felt so moved by her words that I asked her permission to share them with you on the blog. I (recently) saw your Doin Time... and I was the one who asked about your wife during the discussion period that followed. I just read your thoughts on What About the Spouse ....and I can say, most women who find out their husbands are gay feel ALL of those things you wondered about....some in more degrees than others... When my husband was dragged out of the closet because of his irreverent, immoral, and amoral behavior that our, then, 14 and 16 year old sons had to find on our home computer, I went into the closet. I didn't know what to pray for.... Do I pray that this will go away? Do I pray that he could go back to the way things were in our family before we knew about him,? Do I pray that I could go back to the way things were? After all ,...

The False Image of LIA

John Smid and me-Graduation 1998 (above) & John Smid today (left) By now many have heard that Tennessee's Department of Mental Health & Developmental Disabilities determined that the "ex-gay" program, Love in Action, is operating two “unlicensed mental health supportive living facilities”. LIA has until Friday, September 23 to respond. If LIA statements in Eartha Jane Melzer's article are indicative to how the "change" program might respond, we may see LIA change right before our eyes from a clinical mental health compound into a house of praise and worship. Gerard Wellman, business administrator for Love in Action, and a former Love in Action client, said Sept. 13 that the organization has been in contact with the state but would not comment further. “As a church, we operate under a different set of rules,” Wellman said. Curious, and what rules might these be? What is even more curious is that according to LIA's site only one staff member ...

Puzzled

Last night I performed Transfigurations-Transgressing Gender in the Bible at Imago Dei Metropolitan Community Church in Glen Mills, PA (about 15 miles outside of Philly). I had a diverse audience of about 45 people -- college students, Quakers, straight, bi, trans and lesbian, young and old. I took my time with the piece maintaining a gentle meditative pace. For the ending when I reveal the identity of the narrator, I had instructed the light tech to dim the lights. Then as the closing music swelled, I asked her to raise the lights to their brigthest intensity. With the music playing, I exited. Always (up until last night) at this point the audience applauds, I wait 5 seconds then come out to take a bow. Last night I exited and then nothing. No one clapped. They sat quietly as the music played. I stood back stage puzzled, baffled. Now what do I do? Wait? Go out anyway? And I wondered for a moment, Did they hate it? Did I confuse them? Offend them? Bore them into a coma? After what ...
