Gosh, Marvin. This is all just so...confusing and deflating, isn't it?

I'm not so sure I agree with Joe G about "reporting Jaun" to the pastor. Whatever you do, I think you should spend some time in prayer and contemplation about it...

I'm really questioning if this church is the best place for you. Sounds so toxic. Reminds me so much of churches I used to attend (except that no one told me that lesbianism was OK).

Maybe you should do some research about some of those scriptures you talk about. truth sets free is a great resource for indepth Bible study.

Anyway, I understand how confusing this all must feel. Hang in there...

Marvin, I have been worried about you for a long time. I think you are in danger of backsliding as long as you continue to hang out at a) this blog, which as nice as Peterson is, is not a Christian blog and b) your church, where it is obvious Satan has planted his agents to blind you to the truth.

I warned you right at the beginning, brother, and it is with a heavy heart that I admit all my worst fears for you are now being realized. Find a church where the Word of God is preached, and stop flirting with the Devil. Liberal "Christians" will only lead you down the road to hell.

Puzzled

Last night I performed Transfigurations-Transgressing Gender in the Bible at Imago Dei Metropolitan Community Church in Glen Mills, PA (about 15 miles outside of Philly). I had a diverse audience of about 45 people -- college students, Quakers, straight, bi, trans and lesbian, young and old. I took my time with the piece maintaining a gentle meditative pace. For the ending when I reveal the identity of the narrator, I had instructed the light tech to dim the lights. Then as the closing music swelled, I asked her to raise the lights to their brigthest intensity. With the music playing, I exited. Always (up until last night) at this point the audience applauds, I wait 5 seconds then come out to take a bow. Last night I exited and then nothing. No one clapped.
